What is happening, fellas? What's going on? What's going on? KK Matt is Michigan Over. There it is. The first congratulatory. You know, it's such a it's such a tough time being uh being a Michigan student. You know, you were a junior and then sorry, you were a freshman and then you only you had to wait until you were a ju or a junior before you got to see your next national championship. Oh, it's tough. It's tough being it's tough being Michigan. But congratulations to them, I guess.
SPEAKER_05I guess.
SPEAKER_03It's very sort of getting for me. Yeah, you're not gonna be not gonna get much more from uh, wouldn't it?
SPEAKER_02Oh, I don't know.
SPEAKER_05I don't know. Like I was going I was going back and I was going back and forth, and it's like like as salty as I am, like Yukon, I mean, they've they've been in there before. Hurley's a hell of a coach, he knows what he's doing. Like I'm just salty.
SPEAKER_03It's okay. It's okay to be salty.
SPEAKER_05I had especially the way Duke lost. Oh, it's fucking two years in a row because they not it's not just this year, it's the same thing last year against Houston when they had a 15-point lead and they blew it. Like, just all they're like they came out their last four losses over the last season and a half going back to the tournament last year. It's all blown double-digit leads.
SPEAKER_04Like, fuck. I thought Arizona would put put up a fight against Michigan. No, that was like a blow.
SPEAKER_03Michigan's defense, just yeah, pummeling through. Um, speaking of defense as pummeling through, uh uh going. I guess we'll go through the the the newses of the NFL. The newses, the newses, the newses, the newses. Uh Dexter Lawrence has uh requested a trade. Uh so shout out to all the Giants fans. Um, he's an all-pro defensive tackle, uh, has formally requested a trade after failed contract renegotiations. He is skipping the team's voluntary OTA program. He's owed$20 million in 2026, 2020,$22 million in 2027. Guaranteed money has run out. Um John Harva called him the middle stone of the Giants D just months ago. Whatever.
SPEAKER_02Everybody wants out of New York. I thought yeah, well, not really the Giants though.
SPEAKER_04More so the Giants. Yeah, the Giants too. Really? They had Barkley, he left. Yeah, that's true. A lot of big names was left.
SPEAKER_03OBJ has also left.
SPEAKER_05What's the fucking point of showing up?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I'd I don't blame him for requesting a trade. I don't know if they're gonna honor it. I feel like they're just gonna be like, hey man, here's like$15 million.
SPEAKER_05No, it's just that next step in the bargaining, right?
SPEAKER_03Like the bargain is your negotiating is at a stand still, so your next step is to Now if you're the Jets you got a middle pick, they've got a pick in the middle there. You had Quinn and Williams leave, you could replace Quinnen Williams with Dexter Lawrence. I'm not sure what the pri like, what is the price tag? Would you want to go to the Jets? That'd be hilarious.
SPEAKER_05You don't gotta move because you play in the same fucking stadium.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like you just have to wear a different color.
SPEAKER_04Getting moved by all giant fans on the streets.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean, hey, I what's he worth? What's he worth? A first?
SPEAKER_02I don't know. Uh I would say I don't know if he's worth a first. At least a second. Yeah, yeah. At least a second.
SPEAKER_05At least a second. Maybe a second and a fourth, second and a fifth.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So it's like doable for the majority of the league. The majority of the league could go. He the his market is there.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so hey, who knows? Good on him for trying to get rid of that uh dumpster fire.
SPEAKER_02I don't mean to like beat a dead horse here, but as soon as I saw it, I kind of thought it's bad for cowboys, right? Because now the Giants could go D in the draft. I think they were going that way anyway.
SPEAKER_04But if the Cowboys trade for him now, no, yeah, I was thinking that too that absolutely.
SPEAKER_03We can't just pull out five defensive tackles. We I mean we could. That's true. We could they're already we could. We could run the newest formation in the NFL where it's just a bunch of big behemoths and like no edge rusher whatsoever. But I don't I don't think they the Giants would trade him to the Cowboys, anyways. But hey it's it's a tough one, like you said, they're probably gonna there's another hole for the Giants to fill on the defensive end. Um speaking of holes to fill up, AJ Brown, um, Eagles insider Jeff McLean reported Brown's trade has shifted from uncertainty to inevitability. Uh Rams GM less sneed, confirmed trade talks. Uh well, I wonder why. Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel refused to rule out a move. Uh Eagles would prefer a post-one, post-June first deal for cap reasons. Um okay, so are you do you get ahead of it by? I guess the question is, let's just go under the assumption that there's no saving this relationship. Um, do you trade them before the draft? So you have to go in and take a wide receiver and like you're very clear and evident with the plan. And maybe like a team that would normally have drafted a rookie wide receiver ends up not drafting one. Like my instance is, for example, in the later round of the first round, if you're the Eagles, do you go and trade them to a team that's picking two, three picks ahead of you that you know needs a wide receiver in hopes that okay, they've taken AJ Brown, and now I can go take a Denzel Boston or I can take that kid out of Indiana. Um, or do you say, you know what, I'm gonna keep my cards towards the chest, and I'm not gonna, you know, I'm not gonna allow people to know what my move is because essentially once you trade AJ Brown, you basically have to draft a wide receiver. That's kind of what that means. Um which way do you guys think it goes? Do you draft do you trade him now and prepare for the draft? Or do you hold on and then you trade him after the draft?
SPEAKER_04I would trade him now? You want those picks, right? Do you want to prepare for the draft?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but are you giving away too much then? Like, are you lifting your cards and showing people like, okay, like if I'm a team, like if I'm the Steelers and the Eagles pick after me, now I'm like, I I should probably take the wide receiver. And if I'm like talking to the Eagles, I'm like, hey, I'm gonna take this wide receiver, but if you want to trade up and get them, uh, we can do it first, third or fourth. I just think it like it's interesting. Like, I wonder how they're gonna operate. They they're in some trouble.
SPEAKER_04Well, if there's teams out there that want a receiver, well, what once if they draft one? What's the best ball for A?
SPEAKER_03Like with your team, which team are which like your GM of which team, and what what are you calling them? And what are you giving them?
SPEAKER_05I think the Patriots. I think the Patriots need a dog. Yeah, but Bills would have been my would have I would have said Bills if they didn't just trade for more. I don't know if you can make two trades. Yeah, it's kind of tough. What do they have to offer? Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_03I think that late first round gets it. Yeah, it could. I think that Bill's late first round pick gets you AJ Brown. Yeah, and and listen, they need more as many weapons as they can. Like the Keon Coleman isn't playing reputable football.
SPEAKER_05Well, I mean, I I remember talking the season when when Keon was having his issues, and we were saying that he wasn't gonna fucking be there. But when then they fired it.
SPEAKER_03You weren't just talking about it, you were actively whipping him. Look at him, you were disciplining him from all the way from here.
SPEAKER_05Figure your life out. But uh he's a perfect Eagles receiver. But who took over who what's his name now? The offensive coordinator took over Joe Brady, Joe Brady. So he he was in Keon's corner, so that relationship is gonna get built back, assuming he puts in the work in the offseason and you know goes into that. But Keon Coleman, I mean, if he plays, he's gotta step it up too.
SPEAKER_02But no, for AJ Brown is enough to step it up as much though, now that Moore's there.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, exactly. Like the pressure that you don't have pressure's diminished, but it's still there, like you still gotta put it on.
SPEAKER_04I think there's more pressure on him because he was a healthy scratch for a few games. Well, that's what I mean.
SPEAKER_05Like we were talking, like, I didn't think he was gonna be back, I thought he was gonna be released, but then with what's his nuts that who was in his corner, I mean, that that bridge is being rebuilt, like it's not burned. And but for AJ Brown, I would want to get this. Everyone has known AJ Brown is wanted out since the middle of last season. Like, this isn't fucking news.
SPEAKER_03And we'll and I know people are gonna people are gonna be like uh waiting for our reaction. Have you guys seen the Jalen Hurts story that dropped? Okay, so I'm saving that. I'm I'm saving that for our next recording um and later in the week. I mean, just the we will do a deep dive on the Jalen Hurts story that broke. Oh, just like I'm just obviously the the shit near the end of the season when it's like uh it's the behind the scenes from the last of for the last like even the Super Bowl winning year, the year before that. It talks about his inability to play under center, his inability to play certain plays. There's a lot there, and it sounds very like it leaked from a certain camp. We'll we'll dive in. I will go through the up article and we will summarize it all, and it'll be a beautiful thing. But for today, I mean I agree with you guys. I agree with the Bills to a certain degree. I don't know if they have all the chips to play with the Eagles. Um, I agree with the Patriots. Uh Stefan Diggs is left, I think. Yeah. I don't know where I don't know where he's going. Um, but he's owes Cardi B a lot of money, so he better figure out what what the fuck he's doing. Um another team that I think I think the the if he goes here, I think this is like a bit of a hurricane in the opening first half of the draft, which is the LA Rams. I think if he goes to the LA Rams, that means one of two things. That either means that they are going to draft somebody on the defensive side of the ball um with that first pick in that middle whatever, wherever they're picking. And number two, I think this means that the Puka Nakua craziness that has been um talk about figuring yourself out and you know, not ending up in a jail cell or like Tiger Woods. Um I wish I had the clip where Tiger Woods was saying I was just talking to the president, but that means that the Rams know their answer and they shifted and moved away from it. Love Devontae Adams, great um great fantasy football performance last year from Mr. Devontae Adams, tons of tons of receptions in the end zone. However, there was not much going on outside of just the red zone. He was purely a red zone.
SPEAKER_04He's been involved in trade rumors too.
SPEAKER_05I mean, if you can get AJ Brown on the Rams, because he's another physical blocking. So you got you got Puke on one side, AJ on the other side. That open that gives you so much fucking options on both sides.
SPEAKER_03Well, let's say the Rams have been notorious. Well, I guess I don't know, notorious. Maybe they're famous for it, but they're notorious for doing shit like fucking it up. What if they go and get these like get AJ Brown and then they say, fuck it, let's go get Jordan Tyson, let's go get a Mike Hyleman. Now you got three.
SPEAKER_05That they would do that too. They would.
SPEAKER_03That is a Rams thing to do.
SPEAKER_05Well, stop if you look at Stafford, Stafford has no problem um giving everyone their touches. Like he's not afraid to spread the ball around.
SPEAKER_03I mean in a scary world, they could go and Jeremiah Love slips, and they let's say in this hypothetical that we have here of uh AJ Brown and Puka Nakua on the Rams, there's a scary, scary hypothetical they can go trade up for Jeremiah Love if he slips to like eight or nine.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, that too.
SPEAKER_03They could. They could easily go in and get a three-headed monster on offense.
SPEAKER_05They've shown in the previous years, fuck them picks. They have all the picks to play.
SPEAKER_03If they want a player, they're gonna get a player they have the picks to play with, and they they wouldn't be uh yeah, that wouldn't be the first time they said fucking picks. Uh moving along, guys, uh owners' meetings happened. Uh the Tush push uh was not brought to a vote this year. It was uh nobody nominated it, so it approved uh uh without any feedback. Uh the NFL referee CBA expires May 31st. Um, so there is a chance we may not have refs.
SPEAKER_05Replacement refs again.
SPEAKER_03We may have replacement refs. There is um there there may be a the world that that happens. Uh Kirk Cousins famously heard it famously heard on this podcast. Yeah, Kirk Cousins. Uh he is on the Raiders.
SPEAKER_05That contract is fucking weird. Weird, but it was the way it's structured, and like there's 20 million guaranteed, but then there's club option for 80 million after it's like and the whole five years of the total is worth like 172 million. Like what the fuck? See, that's what I mean. We've said this many times. This agent is the real MVP. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, I mean, I like it. I like it too. I don't I personally um I personally don't hate it. Now, I guess that's another quarterback off the market for you guys. Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_05So you're really you're really dwindling it down to yeah, like what the he said he was gonna he said he was gonna make the decision before the draft with plenty of time. Like, we're two and a half weeks from the draft. Yes, I mean that's not plenty of time anymore.
SPEAKER_04Like before the day now, don't go make his announcement. Every fucking day now.
SPEAKER_03No, he's gonna announce it when it's Dallas Cowboys picking, and he's gonna announce his retirement during the pick and give the Steelers well 45 seconds to play with. Yeah, what do you I mean like right now? It's just like you I guess you bring him back, and there's not many rookie NFL quarterbacks that are out there.
SPEAKER_04Maybe they're just maybe Steelers are just waiting for him to announce it on in Pittsburgh.
SPEAKER_03I can but I I don't I don't uh I can see that I can see him, I can see him announcing the first round pick and it being a wide receiver. I can I can see something, I can see them doing some stupid Mike McCarthy. Wait, wait, him like himself himself announcing it, like him going up to do that. Oh, yeah, I guess first round you can't. Goodell has to do it. Yeah, never mind. But it is Pittsburgh. Maybe they'll bring him up when they do the introductory thing. They could, they could.
SPEAKER_04Like when they bring the introductions out and then he comes out wearing Do you think he's gonna be in Pittsburgh for the draft?
SPEAKER_03Oh I got to do it. I mean, if you wanna I doubt it. If you want to pitch the whole Aaron Rodgers is a good leader and he is good for his um he's good for his teammates and all this whole other jazz, then he should be there. I mean, if he says he's coming back, a hundred percent.
SPEAKER_02But anything before the draft, then it's it's really bad.
SPEAKER_03If how are you gonna attract other players to come play for the city if your own quarterback doesn't want to be there when the draft is there? That's the Again.
SPEAKER_02If he is saying he's coming back, he probably will be there.
SPEAKER_03But if he if he doesn't say anything, then would you I mean it's probably not gonna be there, okay? Where is the percentages? We're gonna we're gonna move on from this quick before Steeler. We actually had comments that said that said leave it alone. We should leave it. They're like, leave it alone. Like you guys are you guys are not used to the spotlight at all. We if this is the cowboys, we'd be milking this for like weeks. We'd be like cameras set up where Aaron Rodgers, oh my god. Usually too much drama for us. Arvell Reese posted homes in Dallas in a story today, and everyone's freaking out saying the Cowboys are gonna trade up to number two to take Arvell Reese. That's not gonna happen.
SPEAKER_05It's not you see the guy saying rentals in Dallas, oh shit, everyone's just gonna say, oh, Dallas is fucking exactly talk to him and they're trying to make a move for him.
SPEAKER_03You guys are making it way too easy for this guy to dick your franchise around. Yeah, well, this is like the you the fan bases and me, like I'm calling Steelers podcast creators, uh, content creators, podcasters, media, fans. You guys have given, you guys have let this man keep your franchise hostage. And this is the same, this is the same fan base, and like nobody critiqued, like nobody asked any hard questions to Omar Khan about Mike McCarthy. Nobody bothered to ask him, like, what did you see when he was coaching the cowboys that like made you want to like pick him as a head coach?
SPEAKER_05I didn't hear a single thing because there's not much tape for how much tape to watch in McCarthy decisions other than him fucking fucking up clock management in the final minutes of halves, right?
SPEAKER_03And Zeke playing fucking quarter or Zeke playing center and getting blown up. Aside from him developing what was already a generational talent coming out of college, what QB whispering has he done in recent days? He got Dak, Dak was given to him. Dak was already developed, Dak was already playing at a high level. He got Dak already halfway through his career. Aaron Rodgers generational coming out of college. Where was the where where is the QB developing?
SPEAKER_02There needs to be it might be Will Howard. And then we're gonna have to see what he's gonna do.
SPEAKER_03But like, can you really afford to have a might be at this stage?
SPEAKER_02Look at your like if you're the because if we crap the year, then we're gonna be able to do that.
SPEAKER_03But if you're the Tennessee Titans, if you're the Tennessee Titans, you can afford to have a might be. You can have another year of a might be, you can have another rebuilding year. If you're the Pittsburgh Steelers, half your team is over the age of like 27, 28. So are you essentially pun if they crap the year and they get the first round or first overall pick? TJ Watt's gone. So he's gone. He's gonna ask for a trade. He's he'll be over there. But like, which one is it? Are you if you're but if you're gonna rebuild, is Mike McCarthy the rebuild? Is he a rebuilding coach? I mean, fuck. Why would you rebuild with a young guy? Like you were screaming for them to go get like one of the guys out of the Rams.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, they should have gotten uh Shula there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but like it's like if you're so I rather go down and like at least go down swinging with a new approach than like do the same old fucking Rimrov, like Mike McCarthy's from Pittsburgh. It makes good sense. He interviews well, he interviewed well and lied in his interview with the cowboys. We talked about that.
SPEAKER_04How old is Mike McCarthy?
SPEAKER_03He's old because they they don't coaches in Pittsburgh, they last a long time.
SPEAKER_04Well, that's what I'm saying.
SPEAKER_03So it's like, are we gonna do this for like a decade? He's not gonna last. Are we doing but are we doing this for a decade? No, fuck no.
SPEAKER_05I think I don't think he makes it a decade.
SPEAKER_03No, like six, five, five, six years because he did like what five with the Cowboys.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, honestly, you can't. Oh, we talked about I think last week. Well, it depends if he's he's going after this year. We don't need to keep up the reputation of having a coach for 20 years. If it if it doesn't work out with McCarthy, you know, please don't work out, then you can just fire him after like two years, fire him after a year. You should just fire him halfway through the season.
SPEAKER_05Well, what are you gonna do? Say so say Rogers does retire. Like, what are you doing quarterback wise? Because you went out and got Pittman. Drafted, you got Doubtless. They don't they have not made moves you traded for you traded for Metcalf. Now you traded for Pittman, they got Dowdle, but now you got Dowdle, you got these weapons. Do you really want to put in a rookie quarterback? Do you think these guys want to stay if a rookie if they're playing with a rookie quarterback at their their point of their careers? No, but then who's out there? Because Kirk Cousins even fucking out there anymore.
SPEAKER_03I think all signs point to Rogers coming back. I just think the way they're going about it is like really fucking weird. And like, if you're gonna give him this much power this year, what's to say he's not gonna have the same power next year?
SPEAKER_05No, even if he's gotta be this has gotta be it. Like even if he comes back, I don't think there's no fucking way.
SPEAKER_03No, I don't think the Steelers are. I listen, we could get clipped here and they could go out and like win the Super Bowl next year, and Matthew could be losing his mind and tattoo Steelers Super Bowl on himself, but that could happen. But I will say, like, all the moves they've done have signaled we're not re like we're not rebuilding. And we come from a market or we are located in a city without giving away the city, which is notorious for doing that with its only sports team, um, where they don't commit to a rebuild. They don't want to do they don't want to, you know, fully punt on it because they think their fans are gonna stop showing up. I don't think Steelers fans would stop showing up if they hadn't gone and why was what was the need to get Pittman? Get Rogers another weapon, but could you not have drafted a weapon? Are they still might but that's not but that's what I mean. Like, I understand, like I understand going and making all these moves. I get it. Okay, you want to go and get him a weapon, cool beans, but like you went, you got Pittman, then you you re-signed Pittman. It wasn't just that they got him, they re-signed him, and then you have Metcalf over there that you traded for. Boy, did you guys he's getting paid way too much? Boy, did you guys miss the market on Metcalf when you signed him? Like, they signed him, right? Yeah, they signed him for I don't think the Seahawks signed him. I think the Seahawks are like, we like what we have with JSN. Bye, so you have fun. Um, but they signed him to that contract, and like yeah, unless he turns it around and starts becoming a different, but the thing is, he is a different type of receiver, he is not the type of receiver like the Lambs or the Jeffersons or the Chases, he's a different style, so it's like he's gonna give you different type of production, but man oh man, you guys are in a world of fun.
SPEAKER_05But I'll say the same thing in reverse, then if if you're Aaron Rodgers, would you rather throw to Michael Pittman or would you rather throw to a rookie wide receiver in your last year? That's why they went out and got him. Of course, because if you're Aaron Rodgers, you want someone with a Experience. You don't want to you don't want a rookie at this at this this point in your career. It's the it's the end, man. You don't you need someone that's been there.
SPEAKER_03So I'm gonna turn the the missile over from the Steelers content creators and fans and everybody else, um, giving them a free pass to Aaron Rodgers. Okay, they went out and they got Pittman, they went out and they got Dowdle. What the fuck are you waiting for?
SPEAKER_05Well, that's what we've been saying for for weeks now. We what is gonna change? Like what else do you need? Where's like if Pittman didn't excite you, Dowdle doesn't excite you, and and and the other moves they've made, what else do you fucking need?
SPEAKER_03I quite literally got the coach you want a Super Bowl with. So it's kind of like they've coddled him to a point where it's like, okay, here you go, you have everything.
SPEAKER_04Maybe the reason they hired Mike McCarthy is because Aaron Rodgers.
SPEAKER_02I don't I do think that that might I do think what that's terrible though. If they have catered everything for Aaron Rodgers, which that could be the case, I would have that's like one year. No, and that's a one-year make or break.
SPEAKER_05No one's gonna play for Aaron Rodgers' ego, though. Like that makes perfect sense. And I don't know if he's gonna be done.
SPEAKER_03I I think we're the more I think about all the stuff that's going on now, what's to say? He doesn't trot out there next year, too, be like, all right, I'm coming back with one leg. And like they like they're in a weird position because like I feel like they're a storied franchise and they've always done right by the players, and like outside of Le'Veon Bell and Antonio Brown, but and George Pickens, but like they've done right by their quarterbacks. Here, I'll re-free, they've done right by their quarterbacks. I find it a tough thing for the Steelers front office to tell Aaron Rodgers, hey, buddy, you don't have it anymore. Even if they draft a guy, like even if they draft like this year, let's say they draft Ty Simpson. I see them having a hard time being like, Aaron, don't come back. Like, you're done, buddy. Like, we're we're done with you.
SPEAKER_05Well, depending on how they finish. If he comes, if he comes back for the one year, it all depends on how they finish. Because if they miss the playoffs, and if you that's an easy punt.
SPEAKER_03Your div like your division's still winnable at the end of the day. It's like it's uh it's a Max Crosbyless division, but it's still winnable. Um, and I think there's a good chance, hey, if the tide turns the way the tide turns, Matthews going down to Pittsburgh in a couple weeks. He's gonna go bless the stadium, bless the surroundings, you know, really touch the mantles, make sure everything's all right. Um, if the Chris Boswell is kicking all these bombs and they're going from like 70 yards, who knows? Maybe the Pittsburgh Steelers do make the playoffs. And if you make the playoffs, then you all hopes are uh all hopes are lost on Mr. Rogers leaving. I think he's staying.
SPEAKER_05Only if they win.
SPEAKER_04Okay, if you make the if he makes the playoffs, he's gonna stay.
SPEAKER_05No, fuck no. No making the playoffs and then but it like say if you make the playoffs the same way they did this this year, like barely, and then you say you lose first round so later. I will rather if you don't have another quarterback, he's coming back again. No, he's not. He's gonna be how like he can barely. I don't even think he should play this year. I think he's done. I personally think he's I actually agree. I think he's gonna like playing wise. I think he's done, but I think he's gonna come back and just make up your fucking mind already.
SPEAKER_03I want I want um Steelers Media to clip this podcast, especially when Brandon said he's done, he's done, and play it as the intro as he walks out of the tunnel with the flag, and it's just like in the montage clip. Also, uh um Simmons, Texas. Did you see his uh his video that the Texas Longhorns made?
SPEAKER_02Well, that was a 180.
SPEAKER_03I'm just talking about montage videos and like clips and and and whatnot. Um it is I will show it to you after. Uh it's possibly the greatest like work from a social media team I've ever seen. Shout out to the Texas Longhorn social media team. Uh KK will be picking a college team soon. We have a we have a bracket. We will be we'll be uh showcasing that quite soon. Quite soon. Um, all right, wrapping up the Steelers segment. Okay, my final question to you, Matthew, as you speak for the entire nation of Steelers fans all across the world. What how do you watching this season? Because I always buy the like me, I don't know about Brandon, but Cowboys fans have always been sold this Kool-Aid, and it comes around August. And it comes around and it's it's a little trickle, like right now, there's a little trickle of the Kool-Aid, and then June, July, you got more of the Kool-Aid, and by August, the Kool-Aid is like drinkable, and then September rolls around, and you're fully drinking the Kool-Aid, and that is the Kool-Aid that it is our year. We are going to the Super Bowl every year, never fails, just a different flavor. Uh now, uh, how are you watching football this upcoming season? Like, as a Steelers fan, are you cheering for them to do well? Or are you cheering for them to lose, knowing what's on the other side of like if them doing well?
SPEAKER_02Oh, always cheer for them to do well. Okay, unless, you know, if they get down to like the last couple weeks and they have like three wins and they have an opportunity to get like the first overall, then maybe I'll be like, you know, most fans I think are like that. If you're like it, if you're two games left in the year, we're probably not gonna win them.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's my biggest grievance with like Cowboys. I think last year, a couple years ago, when it was like meaningless football and Meg McCarthy was trotting out the starters, and I was just like, your job's gone. Like, look at how many draft pick positions are costing us, you idiot. So I understand your sentiment there.
SPEAKER_02I will say this yours though, last couple years watching the Steelers.
SPEAKER_03They gotta be more fun to watch on offense. I I'm sorry, like it was watching like fucking paint dry.
SPEAKER_02But I'm prepared to have like my head in my hands. Oh most of the time. Because I had my my my my head in my hands a couple times during the year, just like what the fuck are we doing on offense? And then we get on defense, and then boom, big turnover, and you're like, oh shit, here we go. Then the offense just does nothing. So I'm kind of prepared for more of that this year, but sound like a bruised and battered Colts fan.
SPEAKER_03Same sentiment I'm getting. Those guys are worse. Yep. There you go. All right, fellas, let's move it on. Let's move it on. Um, all right, fellas, little fun little segment for this episode. Um, also, for those of you that are listening, let me give you guys a breakdown. So we have heard you loud and clear. More episodes, more content. All right, we will be doing that. So this episode will drop. Um, we are recording this on Monday night. It will drop Tuesday. We will be dropping a mock draft. Yes, the very first inaugural Red Zone Blitz mock draft will be dropping Wednesday. We will be back with another episode Thursday night, and then we will drop another episode Friday. How's that for content? Lots of content. If you don't follow us, Red Zone Blitz Pod on Instagram, X, TikTok. You can write to us, redzone blitzpodcast at gmail.com for all sponsorships andquiries. We will be in Pittsburgh for the NFL draft. Come find us, come say hi. We will be there. KK will be there, kissing babies. Brandon will be at the craps table, Matthew and I kissing babies. Yeah, kissing ladies, but oh, okay. Okay, okay. Love hold on, where's his jingle?
SPEAKER_00Let's eat a man, eat a man.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, swag after while you're just going. It's like with Khalifa and KK just out there, just having a good time.
SPEAKER_05Like walked into like any of the events we go to. We got a top key. Get the booth on a speaker or get the boom box. Just walk into the boom box behind KK as he walks out.
SPEAKER_03It's just a love machine. That's like we got a lot of 700,000 tooth. We get a little stick, we'll get these little love machine stickers that are just KK's face. With a face with like a heart. With a heart. It's like a shape of a heart. And it's just face him loving for a good time. Yeah. We're gonna write that on every fucking oh god.
SPEAKER_02It'll just be stickers at the strip club. We'll just put them on the stripes. Put them on the pole. Put them on the put them on the pole. Slap on the ass. Oh dear. Oh dear. We've gotten away from us.
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah, no, say hi to us. We'll be there. Uh KK will be out there kissing ladies, babies. Um, anything you really want to kiss, KK will be there. Spreading the love. Brandon will probably be at a crafts table. You know it. Uh, so we'll be there. I think there's only one casino in downtown Pittsburgh.
SPEAKER_05I'm gonna make it my bitch.
SPEAKER_03I I think there's only one. Uh Matthew and I will be uh roaming around the streets. Uh we'll be some dive bar, some country concert, and some rap show. We'll be all over the place. Uh, but yeah, we will be wearing our hoodies. If you guys want to come uh say hello, we'll be we'll be there. We'll be posting on our socials as well. So make sure you guys are following us. Um, yeah, fellas. All right, to go on to our next segment. Uh, so I was like, okay, I was sitting there. I was like, what is the most um what's the best segment we can do? Now, recently in the NHL, there's been like there's like eight games left, and suddenly teams have realized that they're gonna fire all their coaches. Uh, so I came up with uh some scenarios between so we'll do coaches first. So I've got 10 scenarios that are the most brutal you're fired moments. So we'll rank these after. Um, and then I've got 10 of the player versions of these, and then we'll rank those after. All right, fellas. First scenario I've got um Bill Belichick. Young Bill.
SPEAKER_05Young Bill.
SPEAKER_03Also, we missed this. Did you know Jordan Hudson, his girlfriend, was wearing a you know remember that spa where Robert Kraft was getting happy endings from?
SPEAKER_05Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03She was wearing a crew neck with the spa's logo on it while hanging out with Bill Belichick in February, like right after the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_05I didn't hear about that at all.
SPEAKER_03I did not hear about this until very recently when I saw a picture, and it's them, and literally she's wearing like the logo of the spa that like where Robert Kraft was getting his happy ending.
SPEAKER_05That's fucking wild.
SPEAKER_03So safe to say, there will be no Bill Belichick statue in New England.
SPEAKER_04Maybe Bill Belichick was there too, getting happy ending. Can't even get in the hall of fame.
SPEAKER_03Well, you're not wrong. Well, you're not wrong.
SPEAKER_02Um I like the gymnastics, you know, hall that he goes to in North Carolina.
SPEAKER_03That's probably where he spends all his time scouting. Uh well, when he was with the Browns, uh, he was fired over the phone during the franchise's move to Baltimore to become the Ravens. Uh, he lost his job mid-relocation chaos. Um, he went to New England, though. He won six Super Bowls. Um, Browns became the Ravens. Need we say more? Uh the other one. So I've got Jim Harbaugh, CEO Jed York. Uh, this is the 49ers in 2014. CEO Jed York told him he was finished at halftime of a bowl game. One of the most successful 49ers coaches in decades, gone during a game.
SPEAKER_02That was pretty far.
SPEAKER_03That was pretty fast during the game. During the game. During the game. Sorry, during the game. Um, at halftime. Uh he went to Michigan, won a national championship. Uh York's decision has aged terribly. Now I've also got Mr. Josh McDaniels recent one with the Raiders 2022. He was terminated at 1 a.m. on Halloween night, uh, while the city of Las Vegas, of course, was peacefully sleeping. Not. Of course. Brandon knows what goes on at 1 a.m. Uh, three years of trust burned at midnight. Uh, Raiders went 6 and 11 that season, and then McDaniels became a free agent. So, not as bad. I wouldn't say that's bad. So far, what's been the worst? I think Jim Harbaugh has been the worst. Like, I think halftime during the game is kind of crazy. That's crazy. All right, next up, we got Mike McCoy, Chargers 2017. He was fired in a stadium hallway immediately after his final game ended. He didn't even make it to the locker room. So, after the game ended, at least. Better than Jim Harbaugh. Season's over, but still in the hallway is a little bit crazy. Uh, he eventually became an OC and the Chargers moved to LA the next year. Hugh Jackson for the Browns, 2018. A lot of Browns in this, as you know. Very, very great franchise, full of great decision makers. Uh, Hugh Jackson was fired mid-season after winning just three games in three years. The Browns went one and thirty-one under him across two seasons, was immediately hired as an OC by the team that just beat the Browns. So that I guess is the reason.
SPEAKER_04He must be happy.
SPEAKER_03You would you would think that, you know, three seasons, like you would think going into it, like the guys not won more than three games in two years. Why do we need to see another third?
SPEAKER_05That's also shitty drafting.
SPEAKER_03Well, you know all about that with the Browns. You know how that goes. Uh, Dennis Allen, Raiders, 2014, received his termination phone call while still on the team flight returning home.
SPEAKER_05I remember that. I remember that.
SPEAKER_03Didn't even get to Deplane before getting fired. He went on to become the Saints head coach. Raiders lost eight straight that season. A lot of Raiders.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty bad his second worst. That's pretty bad. I remember flight getting fired.
SPEAKER_03So we got number we got hardball number one, or so far. Yeah. And then we got uh let's say I won't get you guys to rank all 10, but the top three. I I think that's fired on a plane. Fired on the plane.
SPEAKER_05You can't go anywhere.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05Like you can just fucking say fuck it, I'm out, I'm leaving. But you're in the middle of fucking air.
SPEAKER_03But you're on the you're in the air with the rest of the guys you coach. So it's like you're just sitting there being like, yep, well, there she goes, boys. It's the way she goes, it's over. And you're just like 45 minutes left of you the players just sitting there being like twiddling their thumbs, like, I don't know what the fuck to do. That's that's wow.
SPEAKER_05That's when you just throw on some headphones and uh sleeping.
SPEAKER_03So that are we agreeing.
SPEAKER_02I make a mask and you just and you just pretend you're sleeping, like you just contangle like the mini bottles in the bar.
SPEAKER_05Or just yeah, go sit at the bar and just be like, fuck it.
SPEAKER_03So are we considering that to be the worst so far?
SPEAKER_04The plane, or I think that's harvot is the worst, too. Yeah, okay.
SPEAKER_03So we got harbour and then we got Dennis Allen. All right. Uh, then we got Robert Sala. Uh, can you guess which team this is? That was the Jets. Yes, sir. Shockingly escorted out of the building by security on a random Tuesday, week four of the season. No warning, just security showing up.
SPEAKER_05That was such a dumb fire.
SPEAKER_03Like they made it, they made a huge mistake with the And, of course, Jets went on to hire Jeff Ulbrick. Season was a disaster regardless.
SPEAKER_05Exactly.
SPEAKER_03Um that might be number one.
SPEAKER_05They had better numbers, they had better numbers once the season finished out. They had better numbers under Sala.
SPEAKER_03Yep. I'm I'm I'm curious to see what the you guys think about the rest of these. Um Marty Schottenheimer, father of Brian Schottenheimer, uh, Chargers, 2007. Only NFL coach ever fired after finishing a season with a 14-2 record. Uh GM AJ Smith forced the decision. It was the best record, worst reward, left football. Chargers lost in the divisional round the next year.
SPEAKER_02That is kind of I wonder why they fired him. He couldn't win the playoffs.
SPEAKER_0314-2, though. That is that is hard to do. That is hard to do. Uh, this now personal next one is my personal favorite. Urban Meyer, Jacksonville, 2021. Axed at 12 35 a.m. after allegedly kicking his own kicker in the pro in practice. A year of disasters culminating in a midnight firing.
SPEAKER_04He should get fired for doing that.
SPEAKER_03I think he should have gone. Okay, but he wasn't.
SPEAKER_02What about the bar thing? I was gonna say, wasn't he at the bar? Like with uh sorority girl.
SPEAKER_03Urban Meyer is a bad, bad man. He's a bad, he's a just a menace to society. He's a menace to sorority girls all around. And that brings me to number one.
SPEAKER_02That's Lane Kiffin.
SPEAKER_03Lane Kiffin getting fired by the Raiders in 2008. Al Davis used an overhead projector at a you remember like in school when they with teachers would come in and they would write on like the like projector, and like we would all watch and take notes. Well, Al Davis did that in a press conference um at a to publicly call him a liar in front of cameras. Uh, fired after five games, went on to become one of college football's top coaches, now coaching at LSU. Now, top three. What's the worst one so far?
SPEAKER_05I guess they're getting fired on a fucking flight.
SPEAKER_03I still think getting fired on the flight is pretty crazy.
SPEAKER_02I think the Urban Meyer one is crazier. Because he had like the shortest run out.
SPEAKER_04I'm debating where they're going to lose.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, the Urban Meyer deserved it. Like, I Urban Meyer deserved to get fired.
SPEAKER_04Or Lane Kiffin with the film. Because that's just funny.
SPEAKER_03Lane Kiffin getting fired with an overhead. Like, imagine you're like flat. That's pretty fucking that's pretty fucking reckless.
SPEAKER_04Like, that's pretty crazy. That's so fucking petty. But Salah being escorted up by security during the game? No, no. This after the game? No, this was like this was on a Tuesday. Like security just showed up and they're like that's not bad if it's off day.
SPEAKER_03I think Harbaugh is probably number two for me. I think the plane is number one. Yeah, that was really bad. And then Harbaugh in the middle, you can't wait until the fucking game's done. Like you can't. So did he go and the Philip once again? Yep.
SPEAKER_04He could run this again. Yeah. I think Lane Kiffin's a number of.
SPEAKER_03I'll give Kiffin three. I'll give Kiffin three just because that's just funny. And knowing Lane Kiffin and the menace he is to sorority girls across the nation, I think. We gotta do it for all those fractures.
SPEAKER_04Actually, I gotta go with Harbaugh, number one. That was halftime, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that was halftime of the Super Bowl.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. And then right after he won it all, right? He won well he won with Michigan a couple years ago. He won with Michigan. I think that's gonna be number one hardball.
SPEAKER_03Halftime of the Super Bowl is pretty crazy. That was pretty that was pretty wild.
SPEAKER_04During the game, like yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's pretty wild.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's pretty wild. I don't think we had a real consensus there, but they're all pretty bad. Aside for Bill Belichick. He deserved it. Fuck you, Bill. Stupid idiot. Um, all right. Now I promised players. Uh Russell Wilson. Uh 2023 Broncos. He was benched to avoid triggering injury guarantees in his massive contract. That's yeah. We all hate Russell Wilson on this podcast. So it's I don't hate Russell Wilson, but you're not gonna get you're not gonna get it. That happens.
SPEAKER_04They're gonna save money.
SPEAKER_05We'll go on the Raiders to the Lions and that happens all the fucking time, though. Like he's not like that happens all the time where they hold players out so they're not triggering bonuses. Yeah. Well, that's the same thing that happened to like Max Crosby. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03All right, here we go. RG3, Washington, 2015. Demoted to scout team safety to force his exit after the team grew tired of him. Not a position change, an act of humiliation. Result of that was career never recovered. One of the saddest falls from Grace in the recent NFL history. All right. I mean, that's pretty bad. That's pretty bad. Scout team, scout team.
SPEAKER_02Sad as they've got to do that. They fucked up his career, though. Um never should have played hurt.
SPEAKER_03This is another pretty bad one. 49ers, Joe Montana, 1993. Demoted to Steve Young's backup after four Super Bowls, then traded away rather than letting him compete for the starting job. Result, he was traded to the Chiefs, had a great season there. 49ers won another ring with Young.
SPEAKER_04Nothing wrong with that. They went younger.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, that is true. That is a game. That's personal. I don't think I don't think that's a personally as bad as like I love Montana, but RG3 going scout team safety. I think that was pretty much the worst so far. Eagles 2009, Brian Dawkins offered a low ball contract, then completely ignored during free agency. Eagles didn't even try to retain their defensive captain. Joined Broncos, Eagles fans cried, Dawkins went to the Hall of Fame.
SPEAKER_05Fuck the Eagles.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's class disorganized. Don't worry, we're next. Emmett Smith, Cowboys, 2003. Jerry Jones publicly called him a diamond that had lost its sparkle on record to the press about his own all-time leading rusher. He signed with the Cardinals, broke the all-time rushing record there. Uh, Jerry. I remember that. Jerry, why? Why must you do these things? Now we're in the list with we're in the fucking list with the Colts.
SPEAKER_02Business decisions. Peyton Manning.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, but well, I've no, I understand it was like he was trying to negotiate his new contract, and like he was trying not to pay top doll. He wasn't gonna get into a pissing match. Doesn't this sound familiar? Jerry Jones negotiating in the media, and then the player going on and leaving. Doesn't this sound very familiar to recent map? Oh god.
SPEAKER_05Every fucking year. Every fucking year, there's someone. Some get worked out and some get shipped out. Exactly. There you go.
SPEAKER_03Uh Peyton Manning, colds 2012. Uh cut during his neck surgery recovery while physically unable to respond to make room for rookie Andrew Luck. Manning won a Super Bowl with Denver. Dude, that's fucking crazy.
SPEAKER_04That's crazy, but they they had to make a decision. They had to up and coming quarterback.
SPEAKER_03But at that time, like you couldn't wait until the guy was like, you know, healthy?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Or like not even healthy. He wasn't he wasn't even able to respond to them. Like he was like that's bad. That's pretty fucking bad. That's bad. Um, Bobby Wagner, Seahawks 2022, uh, found out he was released via social media post before anyone from the organization called him. Eight years, eight Pro Bowls. That's pretty bad. That's pretty bad. Especially because that is the guy, like he was the yeah, that's pretty bad.
SPEAKER_05You see that you start to see that a lot now because guys find out they find out on fucking Twitter that they they they've he's a free agent. They've been traded or fired or released. It's like I didn't hear about this. And it's like it's already been reported. It's like, what the fuck?
SPEAKER_03Social media though. Yeah. Here's a good one. Browns. Once again, Baker Mayfield 2022. Team publicly stated they wanted a quote, an adult at the quarterback position while Mayfield was still their starter and under contract.
SPEAKER_05That was because they got tired of him because he was doing all the commercials and shit, wasn't he? Have they found the adult yet? Fuck no.
SPEAKER_03Have they found have they found one?
SPEAKER_05Or maybe this didn't like how much shit he talked. He's a shit talker, man. Baker Mayfield. Oh fuck. He's probably one of the biggest shit talkers. And it's hilarious, man. Like he's but he's as much as I fucking hate him. I fucking love him. Like he is he's a fun guy to hate because he's so entertaining.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_05But it's just like, yeah, like fuck, man. Some of the shit he says is diabolic.
SPEAKER_03You always gotta watch when he gets hit and watch him pop back up. Oh, he's right in your face, dude. You just see his helmet just like shaking from the amount of like shit he's talking about. That's a quarterback. No, well, that's who you build around, apparently.
SPEAKER_05My favorite is still when uh he was under he was under center and the defensive line shifted, trying to get them to jump off someone to false start. All he does is stand up. That was real fucking cute, guys. Gets back in then and takes the fucking. It's just like, oh man.
SPEAKER_03Baker's Baker. Alright, almost done here, fellas. Steve Smith Sr. Panthers 2014. He was released via a generic text message after 13 seasons with the team. Didn't even get a phone call.
SPEAKER_04That's just like Wagner bad.
SPEAKER_03That's not good.
SPEAKER_05You were the face of the franchise, man. And that's it. That's it. That's that's all I'm worth, is just a fucking generic text.
SPEAKER_03Like And this is probably the worst one, I think. Dan Marino, the Dolphins, left in to endure a 62-7 playoff blowout loss. Team made no effort to protect their franchise QB and future Hall of Famer from the embarrassment.
SPEAKER_05That's like the Patrick Wallace fucking incident.
SPEAKER_03Where they left him in and just was like, I'm done.
SPEAKER_05I'm not playing for you anymore.
SPEAKER_03Uh right now, fellas, I've got uh Peyton Manning probably number one.
SPEAKER_05Not even able to respond to the city.
SPEAKER_03I think he was literally man can like man's physically not able to respond to you, and now is like you could move on from him at any point after that. It's not like it's like a timeline window here, and you go like that. That is not good business from the Colts, especially because he won a Super Bowl after. Um and it's Peyton Manning, yeah. I mean that's um I don't know. I think RG3 is pretty bad.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I would say that's like getting devoted to scout team safety. Like, I think and you were second overall. Yeah, I think that's rookie of the year, man.
SPEAKER_03That's pretty bad. And I guess for third, maybe like I don't I think both of these are kind of the same, but the Wagner and Steve Smith. Yeah, I was thinking that too. I think like just not letting your guys know, like, hey man, like this is what's happening.
SPEAKER_04Veterans and the not good.
SPEAKER_03Not good at all. Um yeah, I think that's that those are the those are the order we're going with. And now, fellas, that was a great exercise. Now we've got two of them. It's gonna be a good time. If I can if I can find the if I can find the uh the right soundboard button.
SPEAKER_00You're gonna jail. You're going to jail. You're going to jail. Lock his ass off. Locking his ass off. You're going to jail. You're going to jail.
SPEAKER_03If you are new here, you probably are in for a treat. Because sometimes we take these things called inmates, segment submissions, um, where uh prison inmates from across the United States um write to us and we react to their um to what they've written to us. Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's bad, sometimes it's just wild nonsense. A lot of times it's just people asking me, sending me one-liners for money, which I ignore. So if you really want us to send you some money, hey, write us a proper submission like these two have. All right. Submission number one, fellas. Here we go. Number one. Yo, Brandon, what the fuck is good, my boy? Okay, they're just very good. What's up, what's up? We're starting on cue. So check it. I've been in here 16 months, and my girl holding me down, writing letters, putting money on my books the whole nine. Congratulations. That's very we're very happy to hear about your successful relationship. KK, the love machine. Good looking good so far? Looking good so far, yeah. Yep. Uh last week she comes to visit and she's wearing a ring. I said, baby, who bought you that ring? She said, You did. Apparently, she's been using my commissary money to buy herself jewelry and telling people I'm proposing to her from the inside.
SPEAKER_04I can see that happening.
SPEAKER_03Now, here's where I need your advice specifically from Brandon because I heard you're good with building a relationship.
SPEAKER_01Okay.
SPEAKER_03But that is true. He has had success in that department. Yes, he has a couple kids. He has built it very well. Um, she still has access to my bank account on the outside. Do I change the password or do I let her keep spending? Because at least she meet at least that means she's still around. I got eight months left, and I cannot be single when I walk out that door. Please help. Well, this is perplexing.
SPEAKER_05Fuck. Oh, okay. Um I mean you gotta at least be checking the balances and saying you gotta be checking the books, man.
SPEAKER_03Brother, you gotta be checking you can't be single, but you also cannot be broke when you leave the door.
SPEAKER_04Like he's going to be single and broke. Like you gotta check the balances, what's going in and what's going out? He's gonna change that pin number, man.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I feel like he's gotta change the password.
SPEAKER_05What kind of fucking ring? Because yeah, if like even if it's your money that she went out and bought, you think she like did you see it in the Nasty? Or like that's something if if you bought paid for a ring, that's something that when she comes in and says, Look what I bought, honey.
SPEAKER_03But like or look like fucking she so he's been in there for 16 months. Yeah, so he's got eight months left. So his total sentence was 24 months. She waited 16 and she decided now's the time for me to buy a ring and buy it for myself.
SPEAKER_04That's a ring. How do you know what it is? How do you know she didn't spend it all already? That's I mean, I gotta check the books, man.
SPEAKER_05I want to see that fucking card she's driving. I want to see that money being spent. I don't want to see like the withdrawal. I want to see um whatever that ring costs at whatever fucking jewelry store she fucking went to.
SPEAKER_03Like, listen, buddy. I don't want to have to hear about you writing to us in eight months, which will be December, and for Christmas, you had to pawn off fucking your watch or some shit.
SPEAKER_04Maybe the bank account's drained in that someone else's ring on their finger.
SPEAKER_03No, that that could be bow. That's what I mean. You gotta check the balances.
SPEAKER_05Like you gotta do a little background, make sure that ring's actually not from someone else.
SPEAKER_03I just want to say, I know we we I know we say it a lot, and I know you guys listen to these episodes, sir. KK is not banging your banging your girl. That is not what KK the Love Machine is saying. Mr. Steal Your Girl. The way KK was just like, how you not sure somebody else didn't buy that ring? KK did not buy, please don't come after us in eight months. We do not, we're not, there's nothing to do here. Yeah, it wasn't me. It was not KK.
SPEAKER_05But I don't know. If someone came in with a ring, I'd like you know what that's that's something you talk about before. Before. Or when she shows up, that's the first thing. Because if she's got on and you've never seen it before, oh look, look what I got, look what you got me with your money.
SPEAKER_03And I don't know and got it, but it's your biggest note that this is like it could be possible that she's buying herself the ring. Like in the day of social media, like that could be a thing. Like they could definitely be she could definitely be showing off to people, being like, Oh my god, he got me a ring, even though he's inside. Poor fucking the poor like girl that's following her's like boyfriend of like 20 years or 10 years or whatever, is probably like a plumber or something dying every day to make ends meet, get having to hear you hear that Michelle's fucking man who's in jail proposed to her, and you can't even get me a fucking ring. It's good tough times for tough times for people out there. Tough times. What's your advice?
SPEAKER_05Fuck, I don't even know, man. Great, so 16 months change the pen or don't change the pen. I gotta check. I said, yeah, and you gotta check the balances. Like, she's spending more than I mean.
SPEAKER_03There's nothing coming in. He's in jail.
SPEAKER_05Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna say there's not much residual income coming up.
SPEAKER_02I hope this guy, when eight months comes around, this guy doesn't walk out and just realize, oh fuck, where's all my money? Where's all my money? I'm fucking broke. He's just dolled up.
SPEAKER_05That's what I mean. The first thing is you gotta you gotta check that that balance, man.
SPEAKER_03You gotta change the pen.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, man. I think I'm leaning towards changing the pen. Yeah. Because yeah, like that's just something that you talk about. Like a ring's a big deal, man. Like, it's not just she's obviously if if she she didn't just go out and buy a ring on a whim. She's thought about it, she's planned it, she's looked, and then she went out and got it. What else has she fought? So that's like a ring's only the beginning.
SPEAKER_02Somewhere along the line. Got a TV set up.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, like that's the thing. If she's mentioned it, like we'd love to hear from you.
SPEAKER_03You know what? We we would love, we would love to hear from you if you are the lady of this man who has bought the ring and you want to come on this podcast and clear your name, we can have we can make that happen for you. We we can we can get you on. So now is the time. If you are the lady, write to us. If you would forget writing, we'd love to hear your voice. We'd love to have you on the podcast. We'd love to have Brandon ask you a couple questions. So, fellas, change of the pin. I think that's where we're landing with this one. Yeah, lean towards changing.
SPEAKER_05I guess, yeah, like I said, you gotta check the balances, and then I think you're changing the pin. There it is. There it is.
SPEAKER_03Uh next submission, last one. Uh, shout out to the whole RZB crew. Thank you. Y'all, the only podcast that I play in here. So you literally keeping me sane. Thank you, sir. Thank you, thank you so much. Uh okay, so my situation is this. My cellmate, who is 58 years old, by the way, has been secretly writing a romance novel since January. I found the manuscript under his mattress. It is 340 pages. I'm on, I'm in chap He said I'm in. No, sir, it's I'm on chapter 12. Not I'm in. I'm on chapter 12. It is in it is actually incredible. My problem is he doesn't know I've been reading it, and I got just got to a plot twist that genuine genuinely fucked me up emotionally, and I have nobody to talk to about it because I can't tell him I've been going through his shit. Do I confess that I've been reading it? Do I just suffer in silence? And as a follow-up, is it weird that this is the most emotionally connected I've felt to anything in three years? I'm not okay. Alright, I'll let you guys take with this what you will. I like to start by saying that no, you should not tell your fellow cellmate that you've been secretly reading his romance novel. I think that could be grounds to getting stabbed.
SPEAKER_05Yeah, I wouldn't I wouldn't do that, but I mean at some point if he's written 30 pages, 340 pages, you've had to have seen him write at some point. That's when you just press him and be like, what the fuck are you writing?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. That's a better better idea than that is a better idea.
SPEAKER_05Then he might tell you what to read it. What are you writing over there? Oh, you're writing a story, let me read it. And you just fucking, you know how you know, you just take it. Yeah, and then it's like being in the schoolyard when someone's like writing fucking journal entry or something. You just go up and you just you don't go behind their back and do it. You go right, you just take it from them right there and just start fucking reading. Start, don't start from where you're from. Yeah. Go back to start page one and start reading it.
SPEAKER_03Man grabs it, goes like right to the right.
SPEAKER_05What the fuck is this paragraph?
SPEAKER_03I mean, man, what's going on here with these two characters? What do you got cooking?
SPEAKER_04I was thinking if the book's done and he's all first, he's gonna go get it published. Oh dude.
SPEAKER_03The 58-year-old just sitting there, like, fuck man, what happened? It's kind of like Rick Ross. That's what Rick Ross did. Yeah, Rick Ross, a correctional officer. I bet he like heard the story. He's like, Well, that's pretty sweet. Now let me go and turn to Mayback music. Um, and do I yeah, so I think I answered that question. Is it weird that this is the most emotionally connected he's felt to anything in three years? No, I think you're in prison. I think that is not weird. Yeah, there's dominant emotions to connect to.
SPEAKER_05I don't know, man. I mean, that that's what books and movies and shit are supposed to do. So it's clearly like you said, it's a good guy's got something, so he's written something, and it's it's connected with you, man. That's what books and shit are supposed to do.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and you know what? We appreciate you listening to our podcast. And if we uh I don't know how we keep you sane, I don't know how that part of your day goes, but um we're glad you're listening. Absolutely. Uh if you haven't we actually don't fucking know, actually. Who knows? Who knows what happens?
SPEAKER_05I'll be fine with not knowing, man.
SPEAKER_03Like Yeah, this is like you're like awfully sane for a person that like has no idea who they're teaching.
SPEAKER_02If we hit like when are we leaving like you're gonna be standing at the mariners?
SPEAKER_03This guy's gonna be at the mariners game going.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, I'm gonna be like, I'm gonna be like, what is he doing? What is he doing? Where's he at?
SPEAKER_04What's funny is there's be no like talk about him even announcing anything. No, nothing.
SPEAKER_03What the fuck are you waiting for? Silence silence. He's probably doing some ayahuasca right now.
SPEAKER_02I know someone's gonna go find he's probably in some cave. He's in a cave in Coastal.
